Anethum graveolens, better known as dill, is not only a popular culinary herb but also an extremely decorative cut flower for modern bouquets. Its delicate, yellow-green umbels blend harmoniously into almost any color scheme and lend floral arrangements a natural, airy structure.

The plant grows upright to about 90cm and produces numerous flower umbels. As a cool-weather flower, dill is particularly well-suited for early sowing and exhibits high resistance to changing weather conditions. Regular cutting prolongs the flowering period and keeps the plant compact and vigorous.

Thanks to its robust nature, this variety is ideal for cut flower gardens, natural gardens, and larger planters. Additionally, its vigorous self-seeding promotes natural propagation in the garden.

🌱 Sowing & Care Instructions
Sowing indoors takes place from February to April. The seeds should only be lightly pressed into the soil, as they are light-dependent germinators. Outdoors, sowing is possible from April to June and from August to October. The optimal germination temperature is between 10°C and 30°C. A period of cold in the refrigerator can accelerate germination. Regular watering and, if necessary, light staking ensure strong plants. Regular pruning significantly extends the flowering period.

✂ Harvest & use as a cut flower
Dill is cut for vases as soon as the flower heads have opened and the first seeds are visible. The best time to harvest is early morning. Dill keeps for about 7 to 10 days as a cut flower in fresh water and is excellent as a structural element in bouquets.
