Discover our special blend for your garden and experience the many benefits of natural ground cover with mulch pellets. Our hay mulch pellets are an effective solution for protecting your soil, reducing weed growth, and promoting plant growth.

Our hay mulch pellets are manufactured in our own factory using at least 50% meadow bird hay and barley straw. This special and unique blend ensures a pleasant aroma and excellent results in the garden.

Whether strawberries, zucchini, or other types of vegetables, the mulch pellets retain water in the soil and build up humus in your vegetable garden.

The hay mulch pellets are very economical. Only 600-800g of pellets are needed per m².

The hay is 100% meadow bird hay!

For our garden pellets, we use hay from fields that are mowed very late in the year (August). These fields are used by lapwings and other birds until this time. The hay from these meadows is particularly rich in structure and therefore perfectly suited as garden mulch. Click here for details!

Usage tips:

  • The hay mulch layer should be a few centimeters thick (a few pellets are sufficient for this).
  • The mulch should cover the ground all year round.
  • Basically, our hay mulch is suitable for all plants.

Advantages of our hay mulch:

Easy handling and storage: Compared to straw mulch or wood chips, hay mulch pellets are compact and produce little dust. Their pellet shape also makes them very easy to spread in the garden.

Soil protection: Mulch protects the soil from the effects of extreme temperatures, erosion, and soil compaction. The mulch layer acts as an insulating barrier, protecting the soil from temperature fluctuations and erosion caused by wind and water.

Moisture retention: Mulch plays an important role in maintaining soil moisture. By reducing evaporation, the soil stays moist for longer, which is particularly beneficial during dry periods. This leads to more efficient water use and promotes plant growth.

Weed suppression: One of the main functions of hay mulch is to suppress weed growth. The mulch layer forms an impenetrable barrier that prevents weed seeds from germinating and growing. This eliminates the need for hand weeding and simplifies garden maintenance.

Temperature regulation: The hay mulch pellets contribute to regulating soil temperature. They insulate the soil and protect your plants' roots from extreme temperatures. This promotes healthy plant growth and provides optimal conditions for the development of your root systems.

Nutrient supply: As the mulch pellets decompose, nutrients are gradually released. This natural process ensures a slow and continuous supply of nutrients to your plants. The released nutrients improve soil fertility and promote plant growth and development.

Less maintenance: Using hay mulch pellets reduces the amount of work required in your garden. By suppressing weed growth, the time and effort needed for weeding are minimized.
