Thymus vulgaris, also known as garden thyme, is a versatile, evergreen herb with aromatic foliage and decorative lilac to violet flowers. Its intense fragrance and flavor make this variety an indispensable culinary herb for Mediterranean dishes, meat, vegetables, and herb blends. Thyme also makes an excellent decorative ground cover in sunny garden areas.

The plants are delivered at a height of approximately 10-25 cm in a handy 9 cm diameter pot and are easy to plant. Thymus vulgaris prefers sunny locations with well-drained, calcareous soil and develops particularly vigorously there. This variety is easy to care for, drought-resistant, and exhibits excellent winter hardiness. Waterlogging should be avoided to promote healthy growth.

During its flowering period, garden thyme attracts numerous bees and butterflies, actively contributing to biodiversity. Its compact growth makes it ideal for herb gardens, raised beds, rock gardens, balcony boxes, and container plantings.
