Come with us to the unspoiled nature of the Ahr Valley, where we will search together for the precious tubers.

Thanks to close cooperation with the nature conservation authority of the Ahrweiler district, I have an official permit to hunt for truffles – a rare opportunity to experience the fascinating world of local truffles up close!

Why truffles in the Ahr Valley? The increasing number of truffle finds in the region has sparked my interest. As the chairman of the Ahrtrüffel eV (Ahr Truffle Association), I am actively involved in research, focusing on identifying and quantifying truffle occurrences and understanding their specific habitat.

On this excursion you will learn more about these fascinating fungi and actively support our scientific research.

Two dates – two unforgettable experiences:

First truffle hike: Sunday, July 13, 2025 | Start: 10:00 AM
Join us for an exciting day hike along the truffle nature trail in Bad Bodendorf. Under expert guidance, we'll search for the forest's hidden treasures. In addition to learning about truffle biology, the specimens we find will be scientifically documented. Finally, we'll enjoy these exquisite tubers with a leisurely snack and aperitif at our truffle-hunting restaurant.

Truffle hike at night: Saturday, June 21, 2025 | Start: 9:00 PM
A special highlight awaits you with our truffle tour combined with a night hike! In the mystical atmosphere of the night, we'll set out with flashlights in search of hidden delicacies. Experience the magic of the forest in the darkness and let yourself be captivated by the unique ambiance.
