Bring the feeling of a Mediterranean holiday right to your home with this lemon tree (Citrus limon) . This set of three consists of three young, robust citrus plants whose glossy green leaves and fragrant blossoms will transform any room or garden into a little lemon oasis.
Citrus limon is a profusely flowering container plant that produces numerous creamy-white blossoms in spring. Its captivating fragrance attracts bees and butterflies and heralds the beginning of a new harvest. In summer , bright yellow lemons develop with a delicate, sweet peel and mild flesh – perfect for refreshing drinks, desserts, or as a natural decoration.
Lemon trees prefer sunny, sheltered locations – balconies, patios, or bright conservatories are ideal. They thrive both outdoors and indoors, as long as they receive sufficient light. If grown in a container, the pot should have drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.
A light pruning in February keeps the tree compact and encourages new growth. During the warmer months, the Citrus limon needs regular watering , preferably with rainwater , while it should be watered more sparingly in winter. Since the lemon tree is not frost-hardy , it must be brought indoors or to a bright, cool winter location when temperatures drop below freezing.
With a height of 25–40cm and a pot diameter of Ø9cm , the three plants are versatile and provide a touch of Southern Europe in your home all year round.
